Glory to God on High
Come, Follow Me thoughts:
I think it beautiful and amazing how God takes small things and makes them great to accomplish His purposes. A few scriptures that come to mind: In the New Testament, during the ministry of christ, a small boy's few loaves and fish fed thousands. In the old testament, God used the strength of a small Shepherd boy, David to slay the giant and become a great king. Or in The Book of Mormon, Christ said, "and if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them. Behold, I will show unto the gentiles their weakness, and I will show unto them that faith, hope and charity bringeth to me--the fountain of all righteousness."
Studying this week in 1st corinthians, Paul reminded the people,
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord."
1 Corinthians
1:27–31
