Peace on Earth, Good Will to Men

There's so much good in every chapter of Moroni. But something in particular stood out to me this time that I feel is very relevant to this moment we're living in. Moroni 7:5 says, "For I remember the words of God which saith by their works ye shall know them; for if their works be good, then they are good also." There is a lot of confusion and chaos around us right now, especially regarding the leaders, laws, and rights in our Country. Yet, with Mormon's reminder of the simplicity of truth and goodness from God, I find more peace and guidance. Verse 16 reminds us that "the Spirit of Christ is given to every man that he may know good from evil". Despite all the persuasion and pull from every angle, "it is given unto you...that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is plain. "...Whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do good and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Chrst; wherefore, ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God. "But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil and believe not in Christ, and deny him and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil." "Wherefore, I beseech of you...that ye should search diligently inthe light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ." This chapter encourages me to be faithful and have hope and to e active in discerning truth in the world around me. How grateful I am for our Savior Jesus Christ! What wonderful opportunity this Christmas time is to regain focus on the beautiful gifts of peace we can find through our Savior and honor His birth with gratitude and reverence.
