We Listen to a Prophet's Voice

We Listen To A Prophet's Voice with the Tabernacle Choir.
I love reading the scriptures! I am filled every time! Perhaps it's to help prepare me for General Conference in a few weeks, but I keep finding this same message lately: The prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true prophets called of God. The scriptures are filled as prophecies from prophets since the beginning of time. These prophecies we're given under the direction of Jesus Christ and were fulfilled even as they were told (see 3Nephi 1:4, 13-22; 5:1-2; 6:20; 7:15-26). I know it's the same today. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We have a living prophet on the earth today, Pres. Russell M. Nelson, who guides and prophesies and cries repentance under the direction of Jesus Christ. We can learn from these chapters ( 3Nephi 1-7) very clearly, the consequences of listening or not listening to the prophets. 3Nephi 6:5 says, "And now there was nothing in all the land to hinder the people from prospering continually, except they should fall into transgression." (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/6?id=p5&lang=eng#p5 ) I'm so grateful to have a living prophet to help me know Christ's direction within His church and help prepare me for things to come. I know our prophet is called of God, and that the prophet's words, as well as those in the scriptures, are the words of God, to help direct us to true, eternal happiness. I know Jesus Christ lives and offers a beautiful, liberating remission of our sins if we choose to repent and follow Him! Love, Jillene Smith
