Please enjoy this beautiful rendition of "Come, Come Ye Saints" arranged by Steven Sharp Nelson.
Three messages I find in this hymn. hymn. 1, Come unto Christ. 2, Do not fear. 3, Be willing to be a pioneer and walk along uncharted routes as the savior guides you through your mortal journey.
1. Come unto Christ
As I read the words I hear my savior speaking them to me. "Come, come ye saints." Jesus said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28–30

2. Do not fear. "No toil nor labor fear." Helaman said to his sons, "Remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the son of God, that you must build your foundation....which is a sure foundation, a foundation where on if men build they cannot fall." Helaman 5:12

3. Be willing to be a pioneer and walk along uncharted routes as the savior guides you through your mortal journey. From a modern day approach,
"A pioneer is someone who sees potential, an innovator who is willing to try new things. A pioneer pushes boundaries to advance a cause or idea or break a record. These men and women have experienced success in their field, sometimes by overcoming great challenges."*
I believe we are all pioneers. No one has lived the life that you have lived. No one has experience exactly what you have experienced. No one has the same gifts, talents, and callings in this mortal life that you have (or will have). If we come unto Christ, see through his eyes, and exert our faith with steps and directions we may not yet understand, he will help us overcome great challenges and reach success in this eternal Journey!
I'm grateful for the example of the Pioneers before us; especially those of my own ancestors who had faith to come unto Christ amidst opposition. Let us all come unto Christ!
Love,
Jillene Smith
